Explore & Eco Tour
Long Island is eco-friendly and endowed with natural beauty and charm that provides endless opportunities to experience nature hikes, nature walks and eco-marine activities. A small flock of flamingos migrated from Inagua to Long Island a few years ago and made their home at the southern tip of the island. Among the other species found here is a large flock of the endangered West Indian whistling duck.
A fun half or full day is an eco tour out to Conch Cay and a visit with the swimming pigs! Enjoy beautiful turquoise water and pop up sand bars (aka private islands!) and then go feed the pigs and swim with them. Its a blast!
Check out the Columbus monument on the north end of Long Island, This area provides some stunning views.
Stop in to the Long Island Museum to brush up on the history, culture and customs of Long Island which is dotted with plantation ruins, pretty villages, historic cottages and groupings of tiny pristine white and bright blue Gothic churches at each settlement.
